About the Webinar

Grants can feel like a mystery if you've never written one, but the fundamentals are straightforward once you understand how the process works. This first session sets the foundation for the entire series. We'll cover what a grant actually is, how it differs from a loan, when repayment conditions might apply, and who provides grant funding at the local, state, federal, and corporate level.

You'll learn how to:

  • Define what a grant is and how it functions as a funding source
  • Explain the key differences between grants and loans
  • Understand when repayment conditions may apply
  • Identify the types of organizations that provide grant funding
